Museum's Founder Chairman awarded CB in New Year's Honours
The Founder Chairman of the National Football Museum, Bryan Gray, has been awarded a CBE in the Queen's New Year Honours List for his services to business, regeneration and the community.
Kevin Moore, Museum Director said: “We are delighted that Bryan has received this award in recognition of his outstanding service to the regeneration of the north west region, including his role as the Founder Chairman of the National Football Museum. It was Bryan's vision that led to the establishment of the National Football Museum in Preston, which is an outstanding example of the way in which culture can play a key role in social and economic regeneration. Bryan has continued to be a strong supporter of the National Football Museum, and has gone on to play a very major role in the regeneration of the north west, particularly through his role as Chairman of the Northwest Regional Development Agency and Chairman of Liverpool's Capital of Culture celebrations".
