SUMMARY:Make Your Own: Pennant
DESCRIPTION:Historically\, when two clubs meet in competition\, they often exchange more than just handshakes before kick-off. Pennants have been traded between teams for well over a century\, often denoting the participating clubs and the date of the fixture for posterity. \nWe want visitors to design their own pennants\, incorporating what’s important to them. Perfect as a football-themed memento of your visit – or as something to hang in your home this Christmas time!

SUMMARY:Storytime: Unity the Unicorn
DESCRIPTION:Back in 2021\, Unity the Unicorn became a de facto mascot for the progressive England setup under Gareth Southgate. The squad were photographed racing and playing in the pool on these equine inflatables\, displaying a camaraderie and unity (hence the name) that has often been missing on international duty. \nUnity features at the heart of our special storytelling sessions in the Pitch Gallery\, celebrating teamwork and togetherness. \nJoin our dedicated storytellers on the ground floor on select dates – and keep an eye out for cuddly versions of Unity to take home with you on your way out!

SUMMARY:Teamwork: The Rainbow Armband
DESCRIPTION:This rainbow-coloured armband was worn by Harry Kane during a Euro 2020 Round of 16 game against Germany\, showing England’s support for LGBT+ communities on the European stage. The Three Lions would go on to win 2-0 and progress to the quarter-finals\, with Kane himself getting on the scoresheet. \nAcross the festive period\, we are asking our visitors to pick up the thread and show their support for causes that matter to them. Weave the colours of inclusion into our communal armband artwork. \nThis self-guided community activity will be running every day in our Pitch Gallery space.
