We don’t normally do egg-shaped, but we’ll make an egg-ception for Easter.
There’s plenty going on across the remaining Easter holidays at the National Football Museum, including quickfire sketching, brick-making, and – of course – a little egg-making…
Please note: admission tickets are valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. If you booked a ticket and time slot between 31 March and 6 April, you can reschedule your time slot via our ticketing platform, selecting the Free Entry option. Find out more here.
Make Your Own Football Egg
Friday 7 – Sunday 16 April, 11am – 1pm
Make your own tiny versions of your favourite players in our eggstra-special Easter activity (sorry). Use the egg cup body to draw your team’s football shirt, attach one of our ‘replica’ egg heads, then add your player’s features with googly eyes, craft paper and pens.
You could make global stars like Lionel Meggi or Kylian Mbappégg, or players closer to home, like Dwight Yolke or Sergio Egguero: it’s entirely up to you!
Brick Maker Challenges: Wembley
Friday 7 – Sunday 16 April, 1pm – 3pm
This Easter, we want you to take on one of our football-themed brick-building challenges.
The theme for our latest challenge is Wembley Stadium. The original stadium opened in 1923: with the 100th anniversary approaching, we are asking our visitors to create objects related to one of the world’s most famous grounds, be it buildings with an arch or tower, or Wembley-worthy silverware!
From Moss Side to Marseille: Three-minute Artworks
Tuesday 11 & Friday 14 April, 10:30am – 2:30pm
We are giving visitors the unique opportunity to emulate the king himself, Eric Cantona, in Michael Browne’s superb The Art of the Game artwork.
See the painting in our From Moss Side to Marseille exhibition, grab a prop and pose just like Eric for our artist Jen Samani, who will produce a fantastic drawing of you in just three minutes! Alternatively, you can work on the other side of the easel, producing your own quickfire artwork to take home.
Art Workshop: DanDesigns
Tuesday 12 April, 10:30am – 2:30pm
See how digital artwork is made with one of our favourite artists, DanDesignsGB!
Dan will be dropping by to showcase his process and skill set in the Pitch Gallery – and will be encouraging our visitors to try it out for themselves.
We’re expecting to be busy on reopening, so be sure you book your place in advance via our website: https://www.nationalfootballmuseum.com/tickets.
