Bring the curriculum to life with hands-on sessions and creative experiences at the National Football Museum.
Our workshops use football as a springboard into history, science, design, technology, music and social studies. Every session is designed to be curriculum-linked, interactive, and inclusive, inspiring pupils to think critically, work collaboratively, and see the world in new ways.
Whether it’s exploring the science behind performance, designing sustainable sports equipment, uncovering hidden histories, or debating football’s global impact, our expert facilitators will guide your class through a session that’s as educational as it is exciting.
Alternatively, you can devise your own game plan with a self-guided visit, exploring four floors of football history, interactive experiences and thought-provoking exhibitions.

Kick off your visit in our Pitch Gallery before heading up to our object-laden Match Gallery. Get in the game with the interactive Play Gallery, before exploring our latest headline exhibition in the Score Gallery.

Where can we park a coach or minibus?
There are lots of coach parking spaces nearby.
As we are in the center of town, we don’t have
our own dedicated parking spaces, but an up
to date list can be found by clicking here.
Can we buy lunch at the museum?
Unfortunately, our café is not able to cater
for large groups, but we do have some
sandwiches, drinks and cakes for sale.
At your time of booking, please specify if you need a lunch space or somewhere to drop your bags. Please be aware we’re not always able to accommodate this for large groups or at busy times. In good weather, Cathedral Gardens right out the museum is a perfect spot for lunch.
If we book a Facilitated ticket, does this
let us look round the museum as well?
Yes! You can stay and explore the museum
for as long as you wish before and after
your workshop.
How long does it take to look round the museum?
We would recommend a minimum of an hour,
to an hour and a half, for self-guided time
around the galleries. There is lots to see!
Is the museum accessible?
Yes. We are fully accessible for wheelchair
users, and have disabled toilets on most
floors. For more information about any
specific access needs, please get in touch
with our team.

- All bookings must be pre-paid 7 days prior to the visit taking place (unless otherwise stated).
- Once payment has been made, all bookings are fully non-refundable.
- We do not offer partial refunds for group visits.
- All bookings and prices are inclusive of VAT at the current UK rate.

overcrowding at the front of the museum. - Booked workshops are delivered by our Communities team, and we request staff

- If there is an incident that requires First Aid, a trained first aider will attend to any sick or injured members of the group. The supervising teacher/leader should be present when any
first aid is administered. - Food and drink is not permitted on the main galleries, but you are welcome to eat and drink in the Pitch Gallery, our café, or on the Level 4 picnic area.
- If a visitor is ignoring safety guidelines or behaving in an unacceptable manner, the group may be asked to leave the museum.
