Head, Shoulders, Knees & Goals
Open on the Score Gallery from Friday 27 March
Kids and grown-ups alike can discover the fascinating connection between football and the human body in our brand new exhibition.
Explore the science behind movement, the stories that shape identity and the joy of football fandom through hands on play, sensory moments and incredible objects.

NFM x Yard Ball interactive
Open on the Pitch Gallery from Friday 27 March
Keeping with the theme of movement, the museum will also be playing host to a uniquely urban football experience.
Yard Ball is heading to our ground floor, transforming the Pitch Gallery into an all-action arena that will put your skills to the ultimate test. Included with your admission ticket.

PitchFest: free football festival
Open on the Pitch Gallery on Sat 11 & Sun 12 April
For one weekend, visitors can sport cutting edge sportswear technology – and look good whilst doing so – with the return of PitchFest, the museum’s retro shirt festival.
Stunning jerseys and iconic namesets, our new Yard Ball experience and trading card-style portrait snaps from Grassroots XL.

Build a Baller Trail
Every day, Sat 28 March – Sun 19 April
Follow our new object trail around the galleries and learn more about football and the body, collecting stickers and building a baller as you go!
Little Body Builders
Discovery Zone, Sat 28 March – Sun 19 April
This early years activity, designed specifically for under-5s, sees our youngest visitors completing their own skeleton puzzle.
Blind Football: Skills & Drills
Play Gallery, Sat 28 March – Sun 19 April
Pick up a blindfold and an official blind football and try it out for yourself. Can you complete all three of our challenges?
Sub Soccer
Play Gallery balcony, Sat 28 March – Sun 19 April
Sit down to a 1v1 mini cage match with friends, family, or perhaps even a member of staff! A different take on the game, encouraging close control, concentration and coordination.
Celebration Pin Dolls
Dugout Cafe, Sat 28 March – Sun 19 April
Head to our museum cafe and set about making your very own paper doll. Create your poseable player and show us their moves, be it a trademark celebration or one of your own!
Physio Through Time

Meet our time-travelling physiotherapist on the galleries this Easter, journeying through different eras of sports science on the galleries.
Sensory Soccer

Explore the thrill of a matchday through all the sights, smells, sounds, touches and tastes of a Saturday afternoon. A sensory experience designed to get you thinking about all of the way your body interacts with the game – even if you’re not on the pitch!
Celebration in Motion

Make your way towards the back of our level one Match Gallery to show off your goal celebrations at our dedicated selfie station. Grab a prop or two and show us how you’d commomorate a worldie ot a crucial win.
