With Yard Ball, football games, and hands-on exhibitions there are loads of things going on. Plus a daily programme of activities taking place across this summer, including toddler takeovers and much more…

There are some amazing exhibitions to see at the museum. Head, Shoulders Knees and Goals explores why we love football – looking into the feelings behind scoring and celebrations that make us move our feet.

We’re also celebrating the origin stories of England’s World Cup stars – from junior teams to the world stage, with special objects loaned by England Captain Harry Kane.

All that, plus a newly opened Hall of Fame Gallery and an unrivalled collection celebrating the history of football? Get ready for a Hot Goal Summer at the National Football Museum!

Mealtime Mondays

Discover the food behind football and learn how players fuel their performance, exploring the changing role of nutrition and football, from 1970’s to now with Playdough meal making, matchday meal-making and giant community pie stuffing.

Tactical Tuesdays

Drop-in for football fitness challenges, inspired by real player training regimes. Try warms ups and seated sessions for all abilities, from skills and drills to team tactics talks.

Wind Down Wednesdays

Footballers may get tired of being in the spotlight or may need some time out due to injury. We can help you unwind too. Whether you prefer a quiet, mindful activity or learning how to treat an injury, we have you covered! Complete with papier mache play, pre-match journaling, shin-pad designing and accessible yoga.

Theme Song Thursdays

Choose from fun, football-inspired songs both old and new, and sing along to your favourite football theme tunes. Step into our Karaoke Booth and sing your heart out!

Football Fashion Fridays

Participants will explore how football kits, colours and styles have changed through time, and will be able to create their own kit, as well as their own iron-on patch. Design your own football and complete our fan photo challenge.

Sideline Saturdays

Come and explore and learn about what players and managers do off the pitch, and learn about their sideline careers. Come and build your heroes, dress up and take snaps by our selfie wall.

Stay And Play Sundays

Drop in for some family fun and play some of NFM’s favourite games, from giant Connect Four to our sit down Sub Soccer.
