The National Football Museum is proud to have the Jules Rimet Trophy on display…but do you know what happened to the original?

On the 60th anniversary of the theft, our expert interpreters will be reliving the story of the Jules Rimet Trophy for our visitors in a very special Pitch Gallery talk.

Find out how the trophy was stolen from a stamp exhibition in Westminster, the bungled attempt at securing a ransom, and the silverware’s eventual discovery by a border collie named Pickles.

But that’s not all. You can also learn more about the replica itself: why it was created, where it was used, and what happened when FIFA found out about its existence!
