Dr Kevin Moore, Director of the National Football Museum, is leaving the organisation this January after 19 years.
Dr Moore who has been with the organisation since its beginnings in Preston, before moving to Manchester in 2012, will be taking up the post of Chief Executive of the Humber Bridge Board.
Paul Dermody OBE, Chair of the National Football Museum, said: “we are very sorry to see Kevin leave us but he leaves us in great shape. Under his leadership the National Football Museum is rightly recognised as the best football museum in the world. I wish Kevin all the best for his new challenge, and I know that we are well placed to achieve even greater success in the future”.
General Manager Kevin Haygarth will take over as Interim Director.
