Manchester City Council is the National Football Museum’s primary funder. This means that if you are a student living in the City of Manchester, you can gain free admission to the museum!

Thanks to funding from Manchester City Council we are able to offer free admission to visitors who pay their council tax to Manchester City Council.
Eligible City of Manchester postcodes: M1, M2, M3,(Manchester City Council tax payers only), M4, M8, M9, M11, M12, M13, M14, M15, M16, (Manchester City Council tax payers only), M18, M19, M20, M21, M22, M23, M40, M90. Please note that you must pay your council tax to Manchester City Council (as opposed to any other council) to be eligible for free admission.

If you are a student at any institution, you can claim £2 off the price of regular admission.
All you need to bring with you is a form of student ID to claim your discount. Booking online can also save you an additional £2!
