WEURO: The Kick-Off

Join us across our galleries on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 July for a variety of craft activities, workshops and selfie opportunities, all designed to get you in the mood for the Lionesses’ defence of the trophy.
Don’t forget, we will also be hosting dedicated Watch Parties for every one of the Lionesses’ games, starting with France on Saturday evening!

What would you need to succeed as a top manager? Design your dream manager’s office in our diorama-making activity.
Put yourself in the shoes of Sarina Wiegman and thinking about what items you would include. A tactics board? Motivational posters? A comfortable sofa or two? It’s entirely up to you!
Positivity Pep Talk
11am – 3pm
Pitch Gallery
Have you got a big game coming up? Do you need someone to boost your confidence before your next spelling test? Or perhaps you’d like a bit of extra motivation to get you through that endless list of odd jobs?
Join artist, performer and football manager for the day, Sophia Hatfield, who will help you co-write and perform your own personalised pep talk. Part workshop, part performance, this fun, family-friendly experience is open to everyone of all ages.
Celebration Station
11am – 3pm

The Celebration Station makes a return to the Pitch Gallery this summer.
Try on some of our Lionesses kits and show us how you’d celebrate a goal, a win, or a game-defining save. You can even take a memento away with you via our polaroid camera, or add it to our tournament wall!
Banner Making Workshop
11am – 1pm, 2 – 4pm
Learning Zone (level 4)
We’re expecting to see plenty of banners supporting the Lionesses in Switzerland this summer – and we want you to help us create one of our own.
Join artist Rosanna Frith-Salem and add to our communal banner, using football boots to do some unique stud-based painting. You can even make your own mini banner to take home with you!

Chant Creator
10am – 5pm

What makes a great football chant?
Take up some of our instruments and draw inspiration from the football songs of yesteryear and come up with your very own chant to roar the Lionesses on this summer.

Learn more about the history of the English game on one of our special tours, running six times throughout the day.
This summer, there’ll be five minutes of added time on our tours, celebrating women’s football and the Women’s EUROs.
